McCulloch England Associates Architects is pleased to announce that we have been selected by FirstHealth of the Carolinas and Moore Regional Hospital to lead the design team for the Renovation of the Second and Third Patient Floors. FirstHealth is one of the premier medical systems in the Southeast with FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital being the flagship hospital for the FirstHealth System. Located in Pinehurst, it is a 395-bed, acute-care, not-for-profit hospital that serves as the referral center for a 15-county region in the Carolinas. The 20 million dollar, 75,000sf renovation will expand the Orthopedic Unit from 29 to 44 beds and create more spacious, patient and family focused rooms while integrating a center for excellence in the region. These renovations will consolidate Orthopedic and related services in the hospital while fostering an excellent patient experience. The project also includes a 20 bed ICU/CCU Unit which will enlarge patient rooms and provide redesigned nursing and core areas, aimed at creating efficient work flow and enhanced staff experience. A 24 bed Medical/Surgical/Vascular Unit will backfill the second floor and incorporate expanded patient rooms, along with the latest innovations in equipment and planning. We have begun design meetings on this exciting project and the hospital is currently in the final round of interviews for the CM at Risk who will partner with the hospital and design team throughout the design and construction process. McCulloch England is excited to be a part of FirstHealth’s efforts to provide World-Class Healthcare to North Carolina. First Health Moore Regional Hopsital
