The Charlotte Business Journal named McCulloch England Associates Architects (McCulloch England) the area’s No. 6 largest architectural firm, according to its annual list published in the Jun. 27, 2014 edition.
McCulloch England, which specializes in healthcare, religious, and educational architecture work throughout the Southeast, was founded as Snoddy & McCulloch Associates in 1971, and transition to its current name in 1977. Throughout its 40-plus year history, McCulloch England’s philosophy has focused on personal client-centered service. McCulloch England prides itself on the fact that returning clients comprise nearly 85 percent of its business.
Anchored by high profile projects like Novant Health Matthews Medical Center – Vertical Expansion, Beaufort Memorial Hospital – Emergency Department, among others, McCulloch England’s staff now includes 13 registered architects and 19 full-time employees. According to the same publication, McCulloch England was named the area’s fifth largest architectural firm in 2013.
The rankings are based on the number of registered and local architects. Little, FreemanWhite Inc., LS3P Associates Ltd., Gensler, and Gantt Huberman Architects were selected as the top five firms. Of the listed firms based in Charlotte, McCulloch ranks fifth.
